Lester “Carl” Davis, 78, of Indianapolis, died at 2 p.m. August 13, 2018, at Rosewalk Nursing Home.
Carl was born March 28th, 1940, in La Vergne, Tennessee, the son of James and Jessie Davis. He served his country in the United States Army from July 1958 – May 1961.
He retired from GM Truck and Bus March 1995 after 23 and 1/2 years of service. After retirement he worked at Blossom Chevrolet as a dealer trade driver for 9 years.
The Memorial and Visitation will be conducted at 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM Monday, August 20, 2018, at Indiana Funeral Care, 2433 East Main Street, Greenwood, Indiana, 46143.
Survivors include his son, Michael (Krystal), grandchildren Dakota, Anthony and Marissa. Brothers: Tom of Deerfield Beach, FL, Robert (Rose) of Shelbyville, IN, Merle (Belinda) of Fishers, IN, Bill (Marcia) of Shelbyville, IN, Mike (Kara) of Greenfield, IN, Norm (Denise) of Indianapolis, IN. Sisters: Ann Phares of Hickory, NC, Dorothy Pickett of Columbus, IN, Marie Evans of Homosassa, FL, Betty Battaglia (Jack) of St Augustine, FL, Sue Adams (Ron) of Columbus, IN
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Brian Davis and Tony Davis both in 1977, a brother, Frank Harvey Davis in 2013.
Memorials donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
